Dunsborough has always been a favourite location to base a holiday for many Perth locals and international travellers alike. The calm beaches and crystal clear,     turquoise waters along this part of the coast make it one of the most popular and safer spots for a swim or a stand up paddle board that you will find around Margaret River Beaches.

Many holidaymakers stay in Dunsborough due to the close proximity to many wineries and breweries, it has become a base for many wine tour holidays.

One of the most picturesque beaches near Dunsborough is Meelup Beach. Meelup in indigenous language means ” Place of the Rising Moon” . We can see today why they named it this, if you are around Meelup beach in the evening at the right time of the lunar cycles, the Moon appears to slowly rise out of the water up into the sky.

Dunsborough boasts many great walking and cycling tracks including the Dunsborough Country Club mountain bike/walking track around the golf course, which is usually inhabited by Kangaroos rather than golfers. You can walk along the coastline and enjoy some world class views all the way from Dunsborough to Eagle Bay.

The magnificent Eagle Bay beach resides on this part of the coast, just a short drive or walk from Dunsborough. Eagle Bay is also a great place to enjoy some wine tasting at Wise Wines or a lunch at Eagle Bay Brewery where many tourists and families visit while staying in Dunsborough. Next beach along is Bunker Bay which is a brief walk from Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, where many guests enjoy being away from civilisation and relaxing at the world class Pullman Resort
