One of the most picturesque beaches near Dunsborough is Meelup Beach. Meelup in indigenous language means ” Place of the Rising Moon” . We can see today why they named it this, if you are around Meelup beach in the evening at the right time of the lunar cycles, the Moon appears to slowly rise out of the water up into the sky.

Dunsborough boasts many great walking and cycling tracks including the Dunsborough Country Club mountain bike/walking track around the golf course, which is usually inhabited by Kangaroos rather than golfers. Next beach along is Bunker Bay which is a brief walk from Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, where many guests enjoy being away from civilisation and relaxing at the world class Pullman Resort
